Intensive In-home Services Our Intensive In-home Service program is based upon the belief that families can, through intervention, learn to nurture their children, improve functioning, and gain support within their community to enable the family to remain safely together. The goal of our program is to protect children through the enhancement of family capabilities. IIHS are intensive, short-term home and community-based, crisis intervention services offering families in crisis the alternative to remain safely together, averting out-of-home placement of children whenever possible. Likewise, our service is beneficial in facilitating reunification following and out-of-home placement. We combine skill-based intervention with maximum flexibility so that services are available to families according to their unique needs. Among other services, family members may receive individual and family counseling, parenting education, child development training, household maintenance education, job readiness training, and referral and linkage to other community resources. Services provided are focused upon assisting in crisis management and restoring the family to an acceptable level of functioning. Child & Adolescent Day Treatment is a structured treatment service in a licensed facility for children or adolescents (age 5-17; age 20 or younger for those eligible for Medicaid) and their families that builds on strengths and addresses identified needs. This service directly addresses diagnostic and clinical needs, which are evidenced by the presence of a diagnosable mental, behavioral, and/or emotional disturbance. Symptoms and effects are documented in a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment and Person Centered Plan. This service is designed to serve children who, as a result of their mental health and/or substance abuse treatment needs, are unable to benefit from participation in academic or vocational services at a developmentally appropriate level in a traditional school or work setting.
